The Haunted Harvest 2024

The Haunted Harvest at Frosty's Forest in Chino, California, is a popular Halloween attraction featuring a haunted corn maze with multiple themed haunted houses situated within. This year’s event spans across a 2-acre corn maze, with six different haunted house experiences. The event runs on select nights from September 27th through October 27th, and general admission costs $30, with a fast pass option available for $45 to skip the lines. Additionally, the Haunted Harvest is known for its intense, graphic scenes designed for mature audiences. Keep reading to hear what we thought, or jump to our TLDR for the ratings only! Since this one is a bit unique in that you enter once and there are mini mazes throughout, we didn’t do the individual ratings and just kept it to overall.

We were familiar with The Haunted Harvest because of past participation in the Hall of Shadows at Midsummer Scream and we knew we wanted to try to check them out and finally made the trip! We are so glad we did. For 2024, one of the main highlights is the "No More Late Fees 2" attraction, a horror experience set in a nostalgic 1990s video store, where visitors face a fictional slasher known as the "Notflix Killer." Honestly anything with a well done nostalgic theme is going to win me over, I’m a millennial, sue me! We really enjoyed the carnival aspect of entering Frosty’s and then the haunted corn maze is situated in the back. It’s really fun and unique to enter only once and then as you meander through the corn you come across 6 different mini mazes with various themes. The themes for 2024 are: Brujeria, No More Late Fees 2, Maniacs, XXXmas, House of Jack, and Gore-dy’s. Some are done better than others, but I also think it just depends how many actors are in each as you go through, as the actors are also free to roam in the corn itself. The cornfield makes it really creepy and eery, and the corn is tall so you are truly immersed. Our experience was largely just the two of us with a group behind us, and we had no choice but to enter the houses first. This really heightened the scare intensity factor as you didn’t have the normal shield of comfort of other people in a line as you do at larger haunts. They invited us out as media, and you do have to purchase a pumpkin patch entry (which varies by night) and then your haunt pass on top of that, just to keep in mind! We feel like it’s worth it if you utilize both and make it an entire date night.

If you're a fan of unique Halloween experiences, The Haunted Harvest at Frosty's Forest is a fantastic option. It's praised for its immersive haunted corn maze and themed haunted houses, offering scares that cater to mature audiences. The attractions, like "Maniacs" and the various haunted houses, are highly creative, leaning into graphic, gory imagery without being too extreme in terms of physical interaction (it's a no-contact event). This makes it ideal for thrill-seekers who enjoy strong visual and psychological scares. We also REALLY love their design (which is also available on merch) and think it’s just a really fun and creative take that we are happy we got to experience. I would also like to highlight again that we found the ability of the scare actors to choose how and when to scare to be unique and creepy. Not knowing who you. might find in the house section versus in the corn itself was eery and as you will see, Dreadful Danny gave the scare actor casting a PERFECT 5 out of 5, and for good reason. However, if you're sensitive to graphic horror or prefer family-friendly events, it might be a bit overwhelming. In that case, Frosty's also offers a regular corn maze and lighter activities, such as pumpkin picking, for more casual fun. So it really depends on your tolerance for fear!

If you're in the Chino area, there are several haunted attractions to consider and try to schedule out while you are up there. Fear Farm IE is a multi-attraction scream park spread over 100 acres. It features five attractions, including a Victorian mansion, a creepy circus, and a family-friendly haunted hayride. There is also "Lights Out" at the Fearplex in Pomona is a nighttime Halloween event featuring a mix of intense haunts and interactive experiences. It runs on select nights in October and is recommended for ages 13 and up.
